State Application Procedures

Real Estate License
  • Tuition includes: Textbook and state review class (review only for Real Estate & Mortgage Broker course)
  • All state fees for licensure NOT included in tuition.
  • There is a $5.00 fee to notarize your affidavit.
  • There is a $50.00 non-refundable school application fee.
  • All books and CD's are non-refundable and non-exchangeeable.
  • No checks are accepted.
  • Dress comfortable for class (jeans or shorts are allowed).
  • Bring to class: Calculator, Hi-Liter, Black ink pen and a notepad.

Real Estate Associate Application Process

To process your application online, follow these instructions (you will still have to follow up in the mail with your fingerprint card and notarized statement).

  1. Go to www.myfloridalicense.com
  2. Under "Public Service", click on "Apply for a license"
  3. Answer "Yes/No" I am licensed by the DBPR "continue"
  4. Read page and at bottom of page select "Real Estate"
  5. Then select "Real Estate Sales Associate" (activate account)
  6. Continue with application process
  7. Print payment confirmation page (with application number and Payment reference #)
  8. Once you have completed the online application process, mail your fingerprint card and attest statement in an 8.5 X 11 inch envelope (do not fold) to the following address:

Mortgage Broker State Application Process
Current state application fee: $223.00 (This fee includes state exam)

To Process application online sign on to www.FLOFR.com/licensing
If you have any problems with the online application  please call the department of financial services at (850) 410-9500.

Once you have completed your online application, the state will mail you a fingerprint card that must be completed by your local police or sheriff's department.

To qualify for the state exam, all applications must be received by the state on or before the 15th of a month in order to qualify for the state exam offered the following month.
The state exam is offered every 4th Tuesday of the month.

We schedule the Mortgage Broker course on the 4th weekend of every month. We do this course in a 2-day class, your attend Saturday and Sunday both days from 8:30am to 7:30pm. The tuition cost for the course is $199.00 Your tuition includes your book and a review class the day before you take the state exam. The only fees not included in tuition are state fees, the state is currently charging a $223.00 application fee for Florida Mortgage Brokers. You can request your state application from the Department of Financial Services at (850) 410-9500. The state exam process is as follows: you must have your application into the state by the 15th of a month in order to qualify for the state exam given the following month. The state exam is offered once a month, every 4th Tuesday of the month, our course coincides with the state testing date, the course is always offered the weekend before the state exam is administered.
